Christopher Yggdre
Christopher Yggdre is author and curator. Co- founder of the magazine Les Périphériques vous parlent and Member of the art collective Génération Chaos from 1993 to 2001. He was involved in numerous initiatives at the intersection of human sciences, art, social and environmental questions, including the Manifesto for Globality in 2001 with Édouard Glissant. He was at the origin of various projects and structures in the cultural and artistic field, including the Co-Errances cooperative, the Agnès b. Fund, L’Agence à Paris. Since 2020, he has been the artistic director of the LAccolade Foundation – Institut de France (FR), founded by Catherine Dobler, and since 2022, curator of THE ELEMENTAL, an art center in Palm Springs, California (US), born from a partnership between Epicenter Projects (curatorial platform created by artist Cristopher Cichocki in the Coachella Valley) and the LAccolade Foundation. He has curated and produced numerous exhibitions including University of Disaster at the 2017 Venice Biennale, Bosnia and Herzegovina Pavilion, with guest artist Radenko Milak; Nothing is true, everything is alive in 2021 and La Vie Enchevêtrée in 2022 in Paris produced by the LAccolade Foundation; or the cycle The Gaia Hypothesis: Chapter One: Earth, Fire, Water, Air… Chapter Two: Palm Trees Also Die in 2022 and 2023 at THE ELEMENTAL, Palm Springs, Symbiosium – Speculative Cosmogonies in 2023, at Fiminco Foundation, Romainville (FR), as part of a carte blanche to Wallonia-Brussels Center.
